Lymph Drainage Therapy

Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) is a gentle massage technique that aids in the circulation of body fluids, drains toxins from the body, stimulates the immune system and parasympathetic nervous system, reduces pain and/or muscle spasms, increases range of motion, and decreases swelling. LDT can be used to treat post-surgical edema, scars, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, infertility, painful periods, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome. After treatment, the patient may experience increased urinary frequency, increased quantity of urine, improved sleep, and/or emotional release.

Our physical therapist Roseanne Cruz, DPT, LLCC received her Lymphatic Drainage/CDP Certification through the Upledger Institute. She is the director of the Lymphatic Drainage program at Beyond Basics Physical Therapy, where she treats men, women, and children with upper and lower extremity, trunk, and pelvic congestion.
